Water/Ways Wednesday

July 31 @ 5:30 pm

Why is fish health important? Learning from past mistakes.

Rainbow trout have been moved from the Pacific Northwest around the world and brought pathogens that kill other fish with them. This talk focuses on the mistakes people have made, how Maryland Department of Natural Resources works to prevent similar scenarios from happening here, and what you can do to help.

Speaker: Darbi Jones, Cooperative Oxford Lab/DNR

Presented by the Oxford Museum at the Oxford Community Center in conjunction with the Smithsonian Water/Ways exhibit.
