Plein Air Easton: Paint Oxford Day
Just a short trip from Easton, the historic town of Oxford offers a picture-perfect setting for a full day of creativity and coastal charm. Surrounded by sparkling water and rich in colonial history, the entire town transforms into an open-air studio as artists gather to capture its beauty.
Start your morning with a hearty Firehouse Breakfast before diving into the day’s festivities. Families can head over to the Oxford Community Center for fun Kids’ Art Activities and a Lemonade Stand, while music lovers can enjoy a performance of live music featuring the Sounds of Americana at St. Paul’s Church. Between events, don’t miss a stop at the beloved Scottish Highland Creamery, often ranked among the best in the country.
The celebration culminates back at the Oxford Community Center for the highly anticipated Exhibition and Sale of the juried artists’ work from the day—be sure to stay until the end to see who takes home the prestigious Artists’ Choice Award!

Timeline for Monday, July 13, 2026
- Sunrise – 3:00 PM | Competition Painters in Action: Explore the peaceful streets and stunning views of the Tred Avon River and look for juried artists painting throughout town.
- 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM | Information & Inspiration: Stop by Sandaway Suites & Beach to get info, stay hydrated, and relax by the water.
- 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM | Firehouse Breakfast: Grab a hearty morning meal at the Oxford Firehouse.
- 10:00 AM | Live Art Demo: Catch a special live painting demonstration with PBS Star “Eric en Plein Air” at Sandaway Suites & Beach.
- 12:00 PM (Noon) | Kids’ Art Activity & Lemonade Stand: Family-friendly fun at the Oxford Community Center.
- 2:30 PM | Live Music (Sounds of Americana): Enjoy live musical performances at St. Paul’s Church.
- 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM | Exhibition & Sale: Head to the Oxford Community Center to see the day’s completed works and see who wins the Artists’ Choice Award!
