Plein Air Easton

Plein Air Easton is the largest and most prestigious juried plein air painting competition in the United States, held annually in July in Easton, Maryland.
Artists from across the country and around the world apply for the chance to be among the 58 juried artists selected by a distinguished juror each year. Those chosen travel to Talbot County to create art from life—capturing the beauty of the outdoors rather than working in a studio.
Many of the world’s most accomplished plein air painters have this competition at the top of their wish list, and the event continues to set the standard for excellence year after year.
