Classic French farce that ran in Paris for two years, in London for six years and on Broadway in 2012. Bernard is planning a romantic weekend with his mistress Suzanne at his French farmhouse, expecting his wife Jacqueline to be away. He has hired a cook to prepare dinner and invited his friend Robert to provide an alibi. What could possibly go wrong? Suppose Robert arrives not understanding why he has been invited. Suppose Robert and Jacqueline are secret lovers and Jacqueline decides to stay home. Suppose the cook and Suzanne have to change places. And suppose everyone’s alibi gets confused with everyone else’s.
